I am on Day 6 of the program, I am tired, depressed and in a constant state of mourning for the small things that used to make my mediocre life bearable, that I can apparently no longer have (sugar, dairy, breads/pastas.) every last little bit of joy has been surgically removed from the act of eating, which used to be a large part of how I “maintained” and now I am barely subsisting on stomach-turning “shakes” and bland, tasteless food that I honestly don’t even know how to cook (how do you scramble the simplest egg w/o any oil in the pan? (Non-stick isn’t, at all btw…) I am finding that I have lots of habits in downtimes (ie. when I am bored at work, 60% of the time) to reach for food, or when I go certain places out (coffee shop, grocery store) to reach for food, and now, every time I try to make that reach, I get a new wave of depression over how the things I used to love are dead to me if I am to not waste ALL this money (that we didn’t really have) I spent on this program. I have utterly no energy to carve the time out of my day to do the 10K steps, I find myself yelling at my kids at home, and when I do have 5 free minutes in a day, I am so tired I fall asleep….

Someone throw me a bone here.

Should I just give up all together on the idea of enjoying food, and try to be one of those bony nervous people who were born thin and hate food? Should I give up food ever being enjoyable or a reward? To those of you who have been in the program longer, when does the energy kick in? If you are a guy like me who only has ever liked vegetables that are on the “Forbidden” list, what the heck do I do? So far I have read up on 2 major diet phases which = 5 different phases, each phase seems to have its own different menu requirements, but I have no damn idea how to “cook” food A. that I don’t normally eat without B.any type of normal butter or seasonings? Has anyone YouTubed this “immaculate preparation” of food in the WN way? To which phase of this diet does the meager “recipes” section apply anyway? Yes, I am a big fat guy, but so far I haven’t lost any more weight that I would with a bad flu, minus that, how do you all chock up motivation to put yourselves through this miserable change, or are my mood swings making things seem worse than they really are?

Can you tell that I really wish WeightNot had a few phone counselors on West Coast PM Time? <LOL>

Any motivations that you guys can share, any similar bad experiences (hopefully behind you,) any actual methods of creating food with taste will really help. I will be looking forward to surfing this goofy upside-down forum (seriously WN, topics at the bottom? You just had to be different than 99% of forums in the world?) to see what you all have to say..

OK, I’ve got two questions regarding the SatisFiber. First, I made a mistake and started the SatisFiber on Day 1 of RapidLoss, instead of Day 3. I can’t do anything about it now, but I’m wondering if that dose will negatively effect me in the long term?

My second question is…I need some help with the actual taste. Is there ANYTHING I can do to help me get that stuff down? I’ve never taken this type of fiber supplement before, and the texture/consistency was a bit harsh for me. I mixed the powder during JumpStart with organic fruit juice, and that helped immensely! The instructions said to mix the SatisFiber with water. Can I use juice in THIS stage, too?

Thanks!!

I started my WeightNot program in March I stated that I wanted to loose 50lbs and you what, To date I lost almost 60lbs.This program really works but you need to I mean need to stick to the program do not go off track and you will also see the results you will not believe it.( In the forum I started out by saying I want to loose 50lbs so lets see what happens…) My beginning weight was 290lbs. now to date it is 237lbs. that’s right I don’t believe either. Now I did a lot more walking but thats it. I’m not afraid to get on the scale anymore. To get on that scale and see the needle go in the other direction that’s a good feeling..Let me tell you I was reluctant in trying out this program but the results speaks for its self. Now I don’t mine the the cost of what I wanted to do but i’m glad I did it. Thanks WeightNot.

1.0 oz. ground nuts (I use almonds)
Couple shakes red pepper flakes
Couple shakes tobacco
Use 1/2 for lunch and 1/2 for dinner
The options are many.
-use with 3 scrambled eggs
