So its been 90 days or so since did my 90 day WN. One of my fears was i lost all the weight so fast will it come back back as fast? Will I fall back into my old ways?

Well….

Well I finished WN at 285 and this morning I was 288. I’ve been down as low as 280 and high as 295. I did run afoul of a few of my old habits mainly beer. Which I have been curbing again. I have retained a lot of good habits as well more then I thought I would. My biggest issues been lack of working out, I’m not a gym person and I rather be outdoors but weather and short days have kept me indoors. But I’m still happy I’ve maintained. I’m getting ready for another round or WN after Feb with a goal of 215lb

Starting weight 358lb July 11
Finishing weight 285lb Oct 11
current weight 288lb Jan 12

Starting waist size 52”
current waist size 42”

Starting shirt size 4xl
Current size 2xl

One of my doc’s said I have most likely put another 10 years to my life with my weight lost. In March of 2011 I was 370lbs and my body was breaking down, joints, fluid around my heart, pain all the time everything hurt, raspy breath when walking distances. Death was looking to be a welcome relief. Other then my lungs due to another ailment, I have a clean bill of health and now I have to wait on people to catch their breath when going out. To give you an idea of I can walk from gate B at M&T Bank stadium to section 540 using the ramps or stairs and never have to stop or catch my breath.

Thank you WeightNot.

John,
I have actually seen chocolate flavored greek yogurt at a Safeway.  Search that area a little bit more.

John,

Congrats again on your results, what an amazing story!  I went to Greek yogurt with fruit as my go to treat as well Post Weight Not.  A little drizzle of honey sweetens it up, but you can also add just 1/2 TBS of cocoa powder too give it more of a dessert feel.  That small bit of cocoa powder is not sweet, but give a good chocolate hit, a bit of heart healthy flavonols and only adds about 10 calories to the treat.

Can’t wait to hear your progress. I’ve lost just shy of 10lbs and a lot of inches in my post WN stage and am about to start another 30days of Rapid Loss soon.

So its been a month since finishing my 90 days. My biggest fear was gaining weight coming off the diet. I’ve not really come off the diet I do try to keep up same eating style I just get more. I’m happy to say I stay with in 2lbs or so of what I ended with after my 90 days. Had a doc apt yesterday and BP was 122/70 which I was really happy with. With the change of season I am struggling some as I do get seasonal depression. I try to combat my cravings for comfort food greek yogurt. I’ll eat a flavored one vs candy. Still may not be great but its much better for me. If only they made a chocolate one lol.

I found a cook book 501 recipes for a low carb life. I found it at a good will store so no idea if its available or not any more but a lot of it falls into what WN does and really help with verity.

I want you all to know you’re not alone in your struggles. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is wonderful. But then you see the next tunnel but rather then being like eye bugging out going OH NO!! its more like a smirk and I got this $%^!

Keep it up everyone!

Congrats Gracie on your upcoming wedding. I was a LOT nervous when I started. To the point that when I pickup my supplies I almost wanted to give them back. I maxed a credit card and most of my checking account to buy the program. I was like what am I doing!? I even blog about on my FB page I either made the best decision of my life or another dumb one in a long line dumb decisions. Nothing had worked before WeightNot I even qualified for free bypass surgery I just had to lose 20lbs and I couldn’t even lose 5lbs. There days I just wanted to take knife to my gut and legs cause I thought it was the only way I was ever going to lose weight.

When I got home I read the whole jumpstart section. Fasting for 48hrs WTH is this. I’ve done 24hrs before but 48hrs?? Then there was the first time I tasted the powder and I swear everyone who’s ever done jumpstart has the same reaction its like OMG I have to drink this?? for how long? Oh what did I get myself into and how do I make this taste better. But then by day 3 you get food again and you see the scale move and your willing to do whatever it takes to see the scale go down more. For me it was 22lbs in that 1st week alone. ( I was holding water like a dam)

There is no magic weight loss pill but this program is the closest thing.

If you’re not going to make most of your meals make sure he reads the binder because what people think of as healthily eating and whats allowed on weight not are different. I had family and friends support me and they tired to have stuff I could eat for when I came over they were surprised at what I couldn’t have.

Best of luck to you and I can’t wait to hear how you’re doing.

I’m starting. Day one of Jumpstart & I’m so glad I found your blog. I needed it. I was starting to doubt, myself, the program, the whole thing, It sat for a month & now I really want to get going. I’m getting married on September 15, 2012 to the most loving understanding man. I have a goal of 60 pounds by that date. I hope to hit that but who knows I might get closer to my ultimate goal of 90 :) My fiance is doing everything he can to help me through these first two days. He is also going to be the one that prepares the majority of my meals. I am so thankful to have him. But a new excitement has formed but I must admit I’m a little nervous !

John, you are my inspiration!

well my 90days have come to and end but the journey continues. I lost 73 pounds I feel I could have lost more but the last 3 weeks my schedule got screwy and I spent 2 to 3 days relosing what went on over the weekends. I went from a size 52 paints to a 42 pants and they are now getting loose as well. I went a 4xl shirt to a 2xl shirt. I started the diet at 358lbs and now 285lbs. (My highest weight was actually 370 in march)

I’ve inspired 3 to 4 of my coworkers to loose weight, and some family members.

I no longer need bypass surgery.

I haven’t binged eaten since my 3rd week of the diet. Even then it was on approved foods lol.

I don’t flop in my chair when I get home and feel exhuasted. I actually have to stop myself and go to bed at a reasonable time lol.

My normal pace has increase greatly I walk about 3 miles in an hour.

I only breathe hard now when I want to lol. normally do to workout.

I can’t run just yet do to my knee the impact is still to great but I have burst a few time and its an awesome feeling.

I added an indoor home routine to my daily exerciser as well. Any who follow this please wait till steady trim.

Pick a 1hr TV show. During commercials walk up and down stairs as fast and safely as you can. I start on the 1st floor and go to the second floor and back down I count that as 1. I do between 3 and 15 during a break. Rest while the show is on. Every other commercial break I put crunches, leg lifts, and push ups in plus stairs. amounts range from 10 to 75 depending on how I’m feeling.

I do this an hour or so before bed.

The other thing is the stuff I said I was going to eat when I got of the diet I no longer want. Processed food don’t taste good anymore they are either salty or sweet. Did have a slice of pizza tho and I was sad cause it was nowhere near as good as I remember it and I used to eat from that place a lot.

I don’t get stuck in chairs anymore

I can sit in plastic chairs without worrying.

I LOVE me again I look in the mirror and I an happy to see me.

I’ve moved onto lean forward now and we’ll see how I do with it if nothing else its a reminder to watch what I eat.

I wish you all the best on your journey to a better you.

John, you are my inspiration!  I am new to WN [Day 6 of JumpStart - lost 5.5 lbs ] so have been filling up on all of the blogs to get a feel for the diet and how other people are coping with it long-term.  I too have joint pains, just had back surgery in May, and know that if I lose the weight and get moving I will feel like my old self again.  Reading your posts boosts my determination that much more.  Thank you and CONGRATULATIONS!

I’m down currently 65lbs, 18lbs to goal and 3 weeks to go. I’ve dropped 5 pant sizes and almost a 6th now. I’ve dropped 2 shirt sizes. I walk about 2 miles in addition to my daily step requirement. (I used to done in about 2 blocks).

I really am a different person now. The only aches and pains I have now is cause I earned them! I don’t loose my breath anymore. If you know DC I can walk from Mass and NJ to H st with a 20lb pack and barely break a sweat. (Doing it before I was soaked in sweat and sucking wind like a linemen who recovered a fumble and ran with it.)

I can look at just about any food and size it up and determine if its worth having or not. Cravings are rare and so is binge eating. I like who I am now and have a pride that I’ve never know before.

I can fit into seats that have armrest. I don’t pick a chair up anymore when I stand up. I can sit in plastic chairs and not worry about breaking them. When I get on a MARC train my hips no longer bang into the seats while walking down the isles.

My dad gave me a hug and said it was the first time he could actual get his arms completely around me in years. My step mom was actually jumping for joy when she saw me last week (last time she saw me I have just finished jump start and was skeptical of me doing this)

I don’t over heat any more or when I get cold I don’t stay cold. My body can regulate temp much better.

There a bunch of TMI things as well that I’ve noticed LOL.

From my heaviest I’m down 77lbs.

Can’t wait to see what happens next.
