Crazy work schedule

My schedule’s very crazy between traveling out to client sites to work and shuttling around my children.  The only times I’ve found myself in “trouble” were when I failed to plan ahead.  I try to make at least 1 week’s worth of food ahead of time so that I’m not caught without the right food or portions.  If you can’t find the time to do that on a weekly basis, you can always try to prepare 2 or 3 weeks ahead of time and freeze your food.  The 2 or 3 times I’ve forgotten to bring food with me or ended up away longer than I had anticipated, I found that there’s always a grocery store or even a fast-food restaurant nearby where I could at least get an apple or apple slices to tide me over until I could get back to my own food—I even had to grab a burger one day while I was out but I didn’t add the ketchup or mayo and I removed the bread and ate it between two slices of tomatoes instead, and I have to say, it was not bad!

I should be starting the program very soon.  I however wanted to ask some of the more experienced- I have an extremely demanding work and school schedule right now.  I also want to be successful at this program.  Has anyone had any issues maintaining during pure craziness in their schedules?  Sometimes I end up working 24-48 hours straight.  I find, even without a diet, that I get hungry in the middle of the night seeing patients.  Any recommendations?  I am assuming I will need to plan ahead and maybe even substitute some options if I cannot get to my pre-packaged meals.  Just wanted to throw this out there!

Thank you!
